Tiramisuper in Cambodia

Our experiment came as thing had to be done.

No vegan desserts on selling at the main supermarket...

Perfect chance for our Tiramisuper to collect feedback in a not so vegan-friendly place as Sihanoukville...(south of Cambodia).

We love challenges, you know.



From last December 2016, we developed the only vegan version, meant as Tiramisuper, actually regularly sold at Hungry Buddha.

Recipe was set up by me, then retouched by Sha and Anxin.

We taught it to a local girl here in Sihanoukville (Cambodia), who was in charge of delivery, too.

We run this experiment for 90 days to collect datas that help our general market analysis.

As main sweet-competitor, classic slices of cakes.

This experiment rank us as #2 sweet-item sold in Sihanoukville area, and the only one labeled as vegan.

Retail price was 2$.

A quick consideration: a traditional tiramisu here, would never beat our food cost! NEVER.

Number of Tiramisuper was limited at the (Samudera) supermarket for their inner politics, so we could sell just 10 pieces every 3 days.

During the last 2 weeks, we've been requested from a veg restaurant here, buying 12 pcs every 3 days as trial.

So, we were selling totally 44 pcs every week, around 180 pieces monthly as average projection.

The local girl was keeping clean also our home, beside Tiramisuper's production and delivery.

She used to work for 20 hours weekly totally.

We didn't do any promotion and once we taught the recipe, we didn't work at all for this project, checking its real sustainability:

During the first month, the selling was not so succesful...you know...nothing is easy to start up.

Anyway, our leftovers (still in good quality of course) helped many babies to stop crying.

Experiment was double succesfully.

Tiramisuper sold made happy many persons.
